On Eating

Description

How much do you trust your senses? We all interact with food everyday, but our experience of food now includes packaging to a great extent. By placing packaged objects in the context of a still life, or by having an eggplant look as if it were just plucked from a Baroque still life, I hope to invoke the concept of time. I furthermore aim to thrust the viewer into a situation where they must increasingly confront the notion of closeness with their food.
